Elle Azul Duncombe-Mills is a photographer who focuses specifically on the intersection of art and activism. Having grown up in a variety of different places including Hawaii, Maine, and Costa Rica, she was exposed to many location-based tensions between people and the land, and developed an early interest in photographing the evidence and consequences of this relationship. She is a 2016 graduate from Grinnell College, and intends to continue photographing and exploring this theme in the American West in the coming years.
