William Ojendyk recently sent Rootstalk a collection of nightime photographs he took during a trip to the Quad Cities region, an area which comprises a complex of cities at the Iowa-Illinois border, on the Mississippi River—an area which, despite its name, includes five main cities: Rock Island, Moline, and East Moline in Illinois, and Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa. We will feature more of these photographs in a future issue; for now, we offer this image, taken on the Illinois side of the river. Rootstalk leaf-bug icon marking the end of the article's text.
